Children and Young People Rough Sleepers who are Runaways and Homeless (CRS)

The aim of the project is to undertake a study at an EU level of the extent of the problem of children & young people rough sleepers as a result of being runaways and homeless and to develop and share effective policy and strategies that can be adopted by organisations to support this group.

The problem of ‘children and young people rough sleepers’ is a major one across European Countries, especially in the current economic climate where Governments are implementing austerity measures to cut budget deficits.

In addition the level of support provided to this client group varies between local authority regions. This group is also at high risk from threats such as substance misuse, sexual exploitation, rape, etc.
